Son got ticket from Parking Eye for overstaying at an Aldi car park. Sent appeal letter and got back the usual pile of paper mostly saying we had no chance. Wrote back asking for POPLA code which they gave. Sent appeal to POPLA citing GPEOL - received decision today - appeal upheld as PE hadn't sent any response to POPLA :)

This is the second win - friend at work had ticket a couple of months ago in same car park - PE gave in at the first letter and cancelled the ticket !

Excellent news. Great result - although even if the Popla decision had gone the other way, that would still not have been any basis for caving in.

Son's girlfriend has just told me her brother in law paid some company £15 for template letters to challenge a Parking Eye ticket :mad2: it beggars belief that these companies have sprung up to charge for what can be done for free! wonder where they got the letters from originally! I've asked her to find out who this company are

This is Probably Parking Ticket Appeals promoted by the Parking Prankster. His site only includes a link. The cost is £16. This may be useful for people who cannot do it for them selves but for the life of me I cannot see why they should use this internet service when they can come here and get the same help for nothing.

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor
