Though from the U.S. this is relevant here too:

Bearing in mind this is in an American journal, the unemployment figures need to be adjusted somewhat - That said, the employment prospects if one has been out of work for six months or more is just as dismal this side of the Atlantic. A disappointing prospect for all those affected.. :sad:
