Hello

Over the last few weeks I have ordered (online) various pre-packed mince beef.

Each product is labelled as typically containing % fat on their website BUT

When it's delivered each one has a higher fat content that stated on their website.

The retailer cites 'typical' which I think is not right as I've yet to receive a typical pack!

The consumer has to trust the descriptions to make their choice!

silly question but how are you mesuring the fat content?

The oddest thing is that they sell three pack sizes and only one is listed correctly.

I hate fatty mince so their online description is crucial for making the right choice. (also health wise)

REALLY.

If you really hated it that much, wouldn't you go to a local butcher/supermarket?

What are you wanting from this post?

I dislike how the retailer concerned hides behind the word 'typical' and says "it can't be responsible for errors"

How can a consumer make a decision on purchase if there are inaccuracies in some of their product descriptions?

Would they get away with it if they said a tv had a typical screen size of 47" and you get what you are given!

Perhaps the reason that they don't say the typical size of a TV is 47" is that tv's are not an organic creature that is effected by many external factors such as: time of the year, age of the beef stock, gender of the beef stock, what they were fed on, how mouch is moved around, how much body fat it carried, the climate and 100 other factors.
