Hi All

Today my wife received court papers relating to a parking eye invoice.

Its the normal amount £85 plus fees =£150

My wife can not drive nor does she have a licence to drive so could not of been her driving.

The driver was parked for 16mins to long in a supermarket car-park in the evening when car-park was almost empty

I have just sent a letter to the CEO of the supermarket to complain about parking eye and there signage. How is someone supposed to make a choice to enter a "contract" while driving in to a car-park with writing 3mm .you can not read it from 3ft away

Any advice on what to do now.

Thanks

You need to stick to the time scale of the paperwork

Can you type the exact POC what they are claiming

Tell us the supermarket

I am assuming the car is registered in your wife's name that is how that has come about

I doubt the driver was parked as there ANPR camaras start the clock from the second you enter to the second you leave

They are chancing it £150 for 16 mins

If i have helped in any way hit my star.

any advice given is based on experience and learnt from this site :-)

is she the registered keeper of the vehicle and what correspondence did she get before the summons. We need more details to help you defeat this claim.

Detilas of how long you are permitted to park for and the position and size of the signage is importanat.
