Can a family be found homeless if it leaves suitable accommodation to move

- closer to family,

- due to finding work near that said family

- due to neighbours constantly arguing, general ASB.

They moved in with some family members who after just 5 weeks told them that they need to leave.

They will be suspicious if moved in one week and out the next.

That looks like they are working to a plan attempting to force the council to give them accommodation, the council aren't easily fooled.

They've been staying with us for almost 6 weeks now. We agreed to help them until they got on their feet but now we ourselves are struggling. They have 3 children and it's super chaotic here. They have been looking for housing, but my partners brother doesn't really have a good credit rating and has some court judgements which is why the letting agency declined their application.

Is there anywhere else they can get some sort of support to find a house? Their previous house was owned by a housing association. They did want to be closer to all of us here as they do need our support, there's also some issues with depression. Main reason for moving though was job opportunities. Said brother was unemployed for over 6 months in their previous borough but is now employed.

If they go to a council for help, that council could tell them yes but the house is in a different city or part of the country. It's then a case of you take that house or there is no further help can be offered.
