Hi,

I just received a UKCPS fine which totally ruined my day.I'm new to Reading/UK.

I read comments about the UKCPS parking fine over the forum. Am i right to say that what i should do now is to APPEAL?

The letter that was sent to me had my name and address. And the letter mentioned This notice relates to a contractual parking charge.

Similar to many others, we are offered to pay 60 pounds if we pay it within 14 days otherwise 100 pounds. They stated the time which the car was observed and time last observed. I did in fact overstayed at the Weldale Retail Park in Reading by accident.

Should i appeal to them not mentioning the driver or divulge information about myself? Will it really not become serious such as court case, extra fine etc?

Need help urgently.

its not a FINE..

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi and welcome to CAG

Of course you should appeal. You can put any reason you like for now. It is only when you get rejected and get a POPLA appeal code when you put meat on the bones.

Ignore what they say about grounds for appeal, any will do.

Remember this is not a fine but a speculative invoice. If the car park was free, what have they lost?

If you paid for parking and were a little over, how much have they lost? A percentage of the hourly rate.

You need a POPLA code and that is when you cite Genuine Pre Estimate Of Loss (GPEOL)

Do not identify yourself as the driver. You don't have to and importantly, do not part with a penny

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor
