As I was allowed to leave EE mid contract as they had increased their prices I requested a MAC code.

I submitted this to Sky on the 1st March 2014.

A few days later I received a letter from EE dated 5th March confirming my MAC code had been submitted

and if this was correct then do nothing and my services would transfer on the 17th March 2014.

My service transferred no problem.

I called EE to find out when my final bill would be produced and was advised 12th April as I would be due a partial credit but I would be billed until the 1at April.

I asked why as my service had disconnected on the 17th march

but was told they required 14 days notice from the day Sky told them my service had transferred

I'm paying for 14 days after my service with EE ended.

EE knew I was leaving as they wrote to me dated 5th March so why not take the 14 days from that date.

Should I pay for 14 days after my service ended.

IMHO NO!!

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

It's all sorted now.

My husband received a call from the Chief Executives Office at EE on Friday saying as a company they know they can't charge after the switching date. My husband told him that 5 different members of staff had said they could and if we weren't happy then to report them to Ofcom but as Ofcom said they could then there was nothing I could do.

I did ring Ofcom and they stated they could not charge after the switching date.

Within a few hours of the Chief Executives Office ringing me all the charges had been refunded.

I dread to think how many EE customers had been charged extra after they have used a MAC code.
