Had a letter today from Kensington, got 5 month arrears and they informed solicitors to start proceedings.

Have the money and rang them to pay, they have refused payment unless I send them Bank Statement where the money is coming from and fill out Expenditure/income sheet and invoices from my self employment etc ?

I dont think this is a reasonable request, I have the money and am willing to clear arrears so cant see the need to investigate my private affairs.

Any advice appreciated

So my question is what to do ? A brief history is I had a serious accident and now have compensation which will be used to pay arrears. The other problem caused by this accident was a repossession on another property, shortfall on that was 50,000. If they have a charge on my property for this and the company ? Amber Home loans. My suspicions are they want to reposses as then they can get both lots of money. Am I just being paranoid.

Thanks

Hi

Just to let you know this bunch Kensington have been fined £1.225m by the financial regulator for treating borrowers who were in arrears unfairly. Claim those charges back plus the interest and tell them not to add any more to the account. There are a few news stories here you can get the info for a letter to send to them.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
