HFO Services and HFO Capital are very nasty debt buyers, associated with Turnbull Rutherford solicitors and Roxburghe, all of whom are having the consumer credit licences revoked right now.

Get on to your bank and cancel this at once.

Have you ever had dealings with any of the above companies?

...if not, I would suggest an urgent complaint to the OFT about this (taken over tomorrow by the FCA). These loathsome companies are fighting their licence revocation, and the OFT would like any evidence, like this, of possible naughty practice.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

I think you should be writing to Roxburgh to ask what you are paying for

I think you should be writing to Roxburgh to ask what you are paying for

Indeed – whatever it is you’re paying for, you are entitled by law to annual statements which should identify the debt. I’d cancel any payments to that as well until you’re sure you still owe anything – chances are they’re milking you.

How do they have my bank details though? I know i probably sound silly but what do i write in the complaint?

They will have gotten them from Roxburghe. Part of the same group, but they have NO RIGHT to share your details.

In the complaint, just make clear that this has come out of nowhere, without warning or explanation, and that you have no relationship at all with this company and have not given them your details at all. But they are clearly trying to raid your bank account without permission.

Yes i think i am going to do that! Its frightening to think if i hadnt of checked the would have taken money.

Does anyone know why they would do such a thing

Because they are very, very naughty indeed. Get the complaint in to the OFT.

You might also ask your bank for details of who/when the application for a DD was made, and make it clear that any request was totally unauthorised – ask to see any paperwork or request copies.
