Hi there,

Can anyone help me please?

I've had a summons issued in my name for a credit card debt where summons says the last payment made was made nearly 5 years ago. It's been sent to a different address.

Is it too late to send a CCA request for my address, address of summons?

I hope someone can help!

Many thanks !

Hi,

Who issued the summons, does this 'debt' show on your credit report, are you sure it's yours.

Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)

If in doubt, you should seek the opinion of a Qualified Professional.

If it's between £3,000 and £5,000 it will be a Summary Cause summons.

What is the return date.

I've removed the date, here's some info on Summary Cause actions.............

https://www.scotcourts.gov.uk/taking-action/summary-cause

I'm not sure what the score is regarding the summons being sent to the wrong address ect, It sound like you are pretty sure the debt is yours, your first post is a bit 'cloak and dagger'.( and yes I know where your coming from regarding giving too much away on a public forum)

Your best bet might be to get in touch with a free debt advice service............

http://www.stepchange.org/DebtadviceinScotland.aspx

They will be able to tell you whether there's any way you can dispute the summons.
