Hi People

I hope this is the correct forum.

I bought a Hotpoint fridge freezer for £300 in November 2013. Unfortunately this has now broken down. I have read the forums and i think i can get it fixed under SOGA.

Im unsure what my first step should be?

I have called hotpoint quoting SOGA but they said its a retailer issue and not ours.

Do i call Currys or do i write to them?

Please advise what should my first/next step be?

i had an issue with a cooker purchased from currys,

you will need to email/write to their customers services i did phone and was told i needed to email in. and explain what the fault is and that you would like it fixed under sale of goods act.

they may ask you to get an engineers report, at which point ask if they are paying for the report.

Currys Customer Services or'[email protected]'

they are slow at getting back to you, i received a cash payment towards a new cooker, ours was 4 years at the time,

hope that helps

Hi,

Your contract is with Curry's so correct to contact them.

Curry's may ask for £50 for reverse burden of proof or you can pay for an engineers report and Curry's refund this when the fridgefreezer is repaired or replaced.

I found and use a freephone number for Curry's knowhow - 0800 5 878787 / options 4,4,2.
