I think Cassava are the same company as 888 which has it's head office in Israel. I can't post a link unfortunately as I haven't enough posts but if you google '888 head office Israel' one of the links has the name of the senior directors. Maybe you could contact them directly?

Yep have wrote & complained to 888 holdings who own Cassava. That was over a month ago, & surprise surprise Iv'e had no reply.

The Gibraltar Complaints Commission seem to be taking it seriously though. Thing is, Cassava keep referring back to their "terms & conditions" which they reckon I broke, therefore think they have me over a barrel. Well my opinion is that they need to seriously re-think their daft T & C's otherwise eventually the company will end up with nobody playing, because with those crazy rules, the fun factor is well & truly gone.............Whats the point playing on a gambling site does doesn't pay you your winnings!

Firstly well done Mackey............RESULT! :whoo:

Could u tell me exactly what process the CC went through please? And also what was your complaint regarding? and was it against Cassava? And how long did it take until you got your winnings? The reason I ask all this is because it would be handy to know what sort of a chance I got.

I was banned because cassava said i was a bonus abuser, i can't see how anyone can be a bonus abuser as they send u the bonuses via email??? I sent my complaint abt 2wks ago, i received email from gambling commissioner on the 11th saying they would be looking into it, the next day all my winnings were sent to me via cassava??? All seemed odd, but i'm glad with result. Havn't received explaination as to what happened, just received the money??? Good luck, don't give up.

Yea the bonus abuse seems to be a favorite excuse of Cassavas. Although that's not what they are holding me accountable for. They are trying to use the excuse that I had more than one active account at the time of my win, not true. Also, that I charged-back money..........eh? wot does that mean? again not true. Another excuse is that I had different address details from my old account, well duh! people move home. All those BS reasons are a total fabrication. Cassava have tried to throw all this at me probably in the hope that It will end up making my head spin, so mush so that I may end up agreeing with them. They are not stupid, they know wot their doing. But guess what Cassava? either am I! I'm hoping for a positive response soon Mackey. We shall see. O by the way, when they paid you, did it just automatically appear in your bank account?

In post #3 you said the following: "They also accessed my Tombola Bingo and Costa Bingo accounts spending hundreds of pounds. I reported it to my bank at the time and they kindly replaced all my stolen funds." You told your bank that some payments to Costa weren't made by you but were fraud. What most likely happened next is that your bank credited you and recovered the funds from Costa by issuing a chargeback. As such the loser was Costa as they bear the loss for the fraud.

I expect however that Costa were suspicious that there was no real fraud and that you had simply claimed this to your bank so you could get back the money you lost (I'm not accusing you of this - just trying to explain how I think Costa may have seen it). As such they may well have flagged you as a suspected fraudster (or similar). As you have now had a big win, they have probably made some checks (I'd guess standard procedure for large wins) and realised who you are and what your history is with them, which is why they are now reluctant to pay you.

I made a suggestion to Costa. If they feel aggrieved by what has been taken from them, then why not simply take the amount off my winnings (I owe £1,773 according to them) & I will never attempt to join another website regulated by Cassava Enterprises, problem solved, matter closed. The bottom line Migster is that they just simply do not want to part with that size a win especially to a player who has won way more than deposited. I don't buy ANY of their excuses, the "company" is a total sham!

Hi ... i had email to say money had been processed to my account. Still not had an explaination??? But stand your ground and hopefully you will get a good result :)

Who needs an explanation, as long as we get our money eh? They can stick their explanations where the sun don't shine lol.

Am def not gonna give up on this, would be a fool if I did. It should all be very simple for them, if I'd done wrong in their eyes, then return my winnings, advise me I'm no longer welcome on Cassava regulated sites, & lets all move on. But oh no, it never gonna be that easy as far as their concerned. Far easier to keep all my money THEN Barr me. If Cassavas security was so stringent then I woulda flashed up as a threat from the off. They absolutely know this. CHANCERS!

It's almost been 2 weeks Mackey, so lets hope I get the same result as you pal.

Just been reading this as I have come across a problem with this company and its "terms and conditions" I closed my Wink Bingo Account, however in doing so I never realsied the profound effect and problems you come towards should you choose to play on another site. What happened to Freedom of Choice? Some people opt for the more well known bingo sites who have thousands upon thousands of players. However some people might decide they want to play on a less populated site. That is entirly their own choice. However Cassava Enterprise "terms and conditions" refrain you from doing this.

Not to mention the fact that they deal with 90% of the bingo sites online. Therefore i am sure Competition rules should apply here. "Big Fish in a small pound"

When you sign up to anyone of their sites they now require you to send I.D to verify who you are. Mainly to stop underage gambling. Once you sign up and deposite however much money (mine being just over £200) and you win, then only are you faced with providing this identification. What happens then is once they process you ID. and recent withdrawl transaction, (in my case £571) they will then hit you with you have joined another one of our sites when once you close down an accout you are not allowed and our in breach of the terms and close your account. in my case i joined their new site called Glitterbingo not realsing it was run by them only when i came to withdraw.

However wouldn't it just make sense in theses circumstances to request the id at the very begining before any monies are deposited or paid (that way the customer is protected by their terms and conditons) and the company wouldnt recived any complaints once they have checked and verified all what was necessary. At least this way both parties are protected instead of shifting all the responsiblity onto the Bingo player, and them being out of pocket.

They are quick enough to process you payment once you have signed up, why not just completely avoid it altogether and at least they are protecting you and have your interest at heart [Op sit]. I am aware also of the lenght of time they take to pay you your winnings when all is fine and dandy but thats a whole other issue all togther.

I am making it my mission on priciple to get my winnings as i have a right to freedom of choice and its not not healthy competition and unfair to consumers. I havent come accross the bonus issure personally so i dont have a lot to say about that.

I will let you know what happens.

Yep guys, it seems Cassava are good at getting rid of regular honest loyal players, which is a shame because I would have def played on Costa Bingo again. The eedgits are just shooting themselves in the foot at the end of the day, because with so many rival bingo sites out there, youd think they would be trying everything to keep you playing. If I had been paid my winnings, then at least £1000 would have been kept in the account, meaning they would have at least got some of it back. One thousand per customer is a pretty good return I reckon. But of course Cassava Enterprises don't share this view. As far as their concerned it's far easier to just keep a lump sum and invent some lame excuse to ban the poor sod!

Funny, my brother suggested we fly to Cassava Enterprises offices in Gibraltar and simply steal everything they got haha. To which I replied...........I wouldn't lower myself to those [edit]s level!

I have contacted all the major newspapers, but none seem interested in the story. Iv'e contacted the TV program Watchdog, still no response. I am still awaiting an answer from the Gibraltar Complaints Commission, if it comes back negative, the next step is the local constabulary in Gibraltar.

I await with baited breath.

Have you had a reply yet ?

Hi. Yes the gambling commision got in touch with me last week and told me they were still conducting checks on complaints I made against Cassava. I was advised that my case was down a long list of other matters they were currently dealing with and will contact me once they have made a decision.

I am hoping to hear something soon, hopefully it's a positive response.

If I were you, I would strongly recommend you write to the gambling commision in Gibralter. They seem to be taken my complaint seriously.

Good luck and keep trying.

Hiya,

I had an issue few years ago through foxy bingo where i won a considerable amount of money.

on trying to withdraw it,my account was blocked and was told there was a paytable error with game i was playing,I contacted them saying they should honour it if it was a manned error.but they refused to budge.I contacted gibralter gambling commision who also said it was an error and they void payments,Then I contacted a solicitor who said i would need a specialist gambling solicitor

and it could cost me thousands and no guarentee of winning due to a previous case against littlewoods which the player lost the case.

I got back in touch with 888 holdings, and threatened them with the media on it,but they said go ahead as the media have been told of the issue.basically told me to eff off and not contact them again.

basically if u win big from cassava/888holdings u got no chance of them paying out and they are getting away with it because they have their hands in everything.backhanders flying all over from media to gambling commision.think the law needs to step up on this..

I have lost faith in winning big online now because of my experience with all this.

And with lots more people coming forward to complain about cassava etc,Im just waiting for the fall of them..

Hi. It really is shocking how these people can just steal our hard earned winnings. A gambling site is all about fun, or should be. Yet these people are causing nothing but grief! At the end of the day we play to win, if we didn't then why would we bother.

We should be paid, irrespective of how much we win. Surely they HAVE to honour their agreement, surely they must! Their simply HAS to be a law against what they are doing, it's absolutely scandalous. Whats more shocking to hear from your statement MEAOWW, is the fact that the gambling commision are siding with cassava. It doesn't exactly fill me with hope.

When all said and done, I have unintentionaly done anything wrong. Cassava kept reffering back to their terms & conditions whenever I complained, but if we're being totally honest here, who really reads them anyway. Most people click the wee box to confirm the have read them and start playing. Nobody takes much notice of them, I certainly did not. I only wish I had, because that's what they think they have got me on.

None of what Iv'e said excuses the fact that cassava still do not have the right to keep my winnings. They should of made me aware I had broke the site rules from the time it happened, NOT when I win a life changing amount of money. I am going through the recent loss of my sister, and these fools are making my life much more stressful than it needs to be. I even told cassava how much thier antics we're affecting me, but they didn't care, just came back with excuse after excuse.

I am drained, I just want an end to all of this. I cannot and will not give up on that amount of money though, I'd be stupid to.

Another Cassava site...... 888ladies.com

I purchased a scratchcard on 888 Ladies bingo and I won £10,000 they have said that it was a screen error, and yet I took a screen shot straight away and got onto online help whom said to send the screen shot to the relevant departments straight away and so I did, they got back to me after 4 days and said I won a £1. I have got on to the gambling commissioner in Gibralter and he said they are right to what they say, but he confirmed that there is no wording to say I could not win this as 888 say it is impossible to win this amount with a 50p stake? as there isn't anything documented? Dragonfish software that 888 have, has been running since 1997 and after almost 2 decades of experience how can such errors incur? there was no screen error warning on my screen shot to which if there was an error as they say there was, an error should alert you??? the site had offered me gestures of goodwill of £50 then £500 and I had 48 hours to clam this (probably due to Christmas thought i would take it!!!) As this is a Gibralter site I am finding it hard to fight what I won fair and square!!! I don't feel these sites should be able to even advertise on UK television as they aren't even licensed in the UK and this is why I have had trouble getting to the bottom of this, the Gambling Commision in UK can't help me due to this!!!! Please help me, £10,000 is a lot of money to loose, I have all screen shots etc to prove my win and all emails of excuses to why 888 wont pay me! I am not in good health as I have liver disorder and I am not letting this go as it isnt fair the way they have treated me, I won this fair and square and they shouldn't be able to get away with this.
