My other half is also dealing with a similar situation with Homeguard/Gladstones at the moment, my daughter was temporarily living in a flat in a area which also had permit parking for residents and no parking for visitors. She was using my partner's car at this time & had no permit (she was house sitting for a friend who was abroad for a couple of months). She was told by other residents & also by some of the security guards/parking wardens to ignore tickets as there would never be followed up.

My partner ignored the NTK letters after taking advice from various forums but was sent court papers in December. He filed a Defence online, explaining he was not the driver of the vehicle. However, he received a letter from Gladstones last week saying that they had received communication from the Court advising them that he had omitted to file a Defence and that they would proceed to enter Judgement on the Claimant's behalf. Not sure what to do now.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Phone Northampton and quote the case number and ask them what has been sent out as a defence has been filed.

I wouldnt believe a word Gladstones have said as it is not beyond belief they write such things to get people to pay up prematurely by claiming things that arent true.
