Hi all

Hoping for some help on B of S overdraft- bit of background to it all:

Period of illness/ unemployment 2008/9,

had over a dozen credit cards ,

bank overdraft etc- all well until the work stopped.

Did CCA requests for all cards,

they are either all settled now ,

or defaults shown in 2009 drop off next year.

Brings me to the main query;

I have been down the route of trying to prove hardship to set aside bank charges( o/d is 15k+, bank charges are 8k plus interest, equates to around 11k with interest

- bank account is now closed , bank about to get heavy re trying to reclaim "their"cash.

My issue is twofold

- what can bank do to try to reclaim monies?

( I am back to work now , but unable to pay large amount/ credit file destroyed so a loan not an option etc)

Secondly,

since all 3 CRA agencies do not show any reference to this account,

can BofS ( or debt collector if they sell debt on) they then report on my credit file?

I have tried to come to an amicable agreement with BofS but might as well talk to the dog!!

I am desperate to try and keep improving my credit file and this is a great concern to me-

any thoughts?

I would suspect it already been defaulted and dropped of never to return?

if the OD is all charges...can you not use BCOBS?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

An overdraft is not credit like a loan or credit card some banks do report then on CRAs but there is no obligation to do so.

Any Letters I Draft are N0T approved by CAG and no personal liability is accepted.
