Hi all I am a paying parent of 2 children to my ex partner. I have just moved in with my partner of 4 years, he has a child from another relationship who stays with him about half the time. I've also been promoted which means a pay rise, so I have to tell all this to the CSA.

I have been looking online and people say that my payments would be reduced to the fact that my current partner has his child stay with him, but when I have been reading the leaflets you can download it says only if that parent is receiving child benefit that would happen. I'm so confused by it all and want to be clear before I call the CSA.

Is there anyone that could shed any light on what's right and what isn't?

Thanks

Yes you must declare your payrise and your change in circumstances. I think its right that your partner must be receiving child benefit for your payments to reduce but only about 90% sure on that one
