Hi - I had one of these tickets back in August 2013 and did what everyone suggested on several forums (ignore) and today I have received a very strangely pleasant letter from somebody telling me that they may take me to court to recover costs and that whilst costs are minimal now, they could escalate if I do nothing.

Thing is, I wasn't actually driving the car, my husband was but there is some wording to indicate that I may be liable for costs regardless of this fact.

Do I ignore or do I contact (I have very generously been given 14 days to reply)

Thanks

Suze

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi and welcome to CAG

The advice to ignore is no longer valid but the chance of them actually taking court action is slim.

Now, you have ignore this for this length of time with no repercussions so you could risk it and continue ignoring. You could send a letter denying any liability to them and for them to prove otherwise.

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor

Hello Suzie,

I have had a number of tickets from these muppets and ignored every one of their threatograms. However, I live in Scotland and it is still ok to ignore them. The situation is differnet in England and Wales where you cannot really ignore anymore.

I am sure that you will find specific advice for your situation on the forum.

Please do not make any contact with this company until you have got specific advice for your situation if you live in England/Wales.

However, If you live in Scotland then file the letter in the bucket.

Kindest Regards and best wishes

Healthykid
