I have had a similar problem. I last filled up about 2 weeks ago in Sainsburys in Godalming.

The car broke down on Christmas eve and

I now find that it is due to fuel contamination.

A lot of work has been done by Citroen to identify the fault and now they have to flush the tank.

It will cost probably near £1000.

I paid by credit card.

I will check with Sainsburys to see if they have had any other complaints and will check with the credit card company.

I have a petrol engine and have only put petrol in the tank.

The garage has retained some of the contaminant so will have that to verify.

if you can prove it was Sainsbury's

[often they will have others that have reported the issue too]

you should be able to reclaim that £1000

yes and get your credit card involved

they are equally responsible.

have know several people to have gotten this resolved by involving the card company

once the source is proved to the card payment purchase.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
