I am from Ontario Canada and a very reputable collection agency is suing me

on behalf of Canadian tire Bank over a credit card that I defaulted on due to

financial hardship.

They filed a claim with small claims court for just under 20 grand can.

I now have to file a defence using form 9A and have 10 days left or jugment will

be obtained against me and enforced.

I missed 4-5 payments and now this.

All the plaintiff included was a copy of the original credit app. with my signature,

a statement and their cardmember aggreement.

I'm open to any ideas on how to respond.

Hi Mario Decosta

From your post it sounds like this is to do with Canadian Law and as we are a UK Consumer Forum as has been advised it would be difficult for us or our members to advise you on your specific issue under Canadian Law.

I would advise trying to seek help and advice from free legal advice centres in your area within Ontario.

These links may be of help:

Community Legal Education Ontario - http://www.cleo.on.ca/en

Legal line - http://www.legalline.ca/

Legal Aid Ontario - http://www.legalaid.on.ca/en/contact/

I do hope these are of help and please do let us know how you get on.

I cannot give any advice by PM - If you provide a link to your Thread then I will be happy to offer advice there.

I advise to the best of my ability, but I am not a qualified professional, benefits lawyer nor Welfare Rights Adviser.
