Hi, I'm posting this in the hope that someone can give me advice on how I can help my Dad.

My Dad had a company that folded a few years ago that had secured business loans with Lloyds bank.

He then had a triple heart bypass and during his recovery time the loan payments were paid by the insurance policy on the loan (it seems just the interest).

Now he is working again (self-employed, he is 65) Lloyds want the debt cleared and are telling him they want to take his house.

Earlier this year he came to an arrangement with them where he pays a certain amount per month. He made all the payments as arranged but they are now not accepting this arrangement any more and pushing him very hard.

He has offered more per month but they say they want the debt cleared. They have now sent him out a form to fill in all his financial details but have already told him over the phone that they want to take his house. They have told him he only has 7 days to get all of this information back to them.

My Dad is at his wits end and I'm worried about him. He's really stressed about loosing his house and can't think straight.

I'm the only person he is talking to about this but I don't know what I can do to help.

So I thought I'd post here in the hope that someone can give some advice on how I can help him and what his legal rights are.

If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful.

Thanks,

David

they shouldn't be saying those things on the phone.

tell him writing only

put the phone down.

is there a chance you can scan up the letters he's already had please

and are sCM involved yet?

set your default scan page size to A4 less than 300DPI [150 will do]

scan the required letters/agreements/sheets - as a picture[jpg] file

don't forget you can use a mobile phone or a digital camera too!!

'

BUT......

ENSURE: remove all pers info inc. barcodes etc

but leave all monetary figures and dates.

{DO NOT USE A BIRO OR PEN OR USE SEE THRU TAPE OR LABELS]

*************************************************************

.

DO IT IN MSPAINT.EXE or any photo editing program

goto one of the many free online pdf converter websites ...

http://freejpgtopdf.com/

..

if you have multiple scans/pics

put them in a word doc FIRST and convert that to PDF

or use www.pdfmerge.com

convert existing PC files to PDF [office has an installable print to PDF option]

..

it would be better to upload a multipage pdf if

you have many images too rather than many single pdfs

.

or if you have PDF as an installed printer drive use that

or use word and save as pdf

try and logically name your file so people know what it is.

though dont use full bank names or CAG in the title

i'e Default notice dd-mm-yyyy TSB

.

open a new msg box here

hit go advanced below the msg box

hit manage attachments below that box

hit the add files button on the top right

hit select files, navigate to your file on your pc

hit upload files

.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

If your father is adhering to the arrangement already agreed then I think your father has some protection.

Do please impress upon him to insist on keeping things in writing. Almost certainly LTSB will not make such comments in a letter as they have done on the telephone - and almost certainly if he were to request copies of the call, it would be one where it wasn't recorded or they will be unable to locate it !!
