Dear All I wonder if anyone could give me some information how I could deal with a Claims Underwriter Register entry posted by my insurance company for not informing them of 2 vandalism claims hereby they cancelled my policy and now my insurance has sky rocketed to almost £2000 from £395 I paid in full.

What really happened was my car was coined from front to back and I made two claims from my current insurance company .Whilst looking for a renewal I did not click the box that I had claimed as I thought these were not accidents claims and were not effecting my no claims .

I want to know if I can take this to court to get my name cleared as I have a Clean record and I did not mean to fraud this company but it was merely an admin error which now has deemed me an insurance fraudster which I am not.

Are you new to Insurance in the UK ? Why did you believe that 2 claims on an Insurance policy did not need to be disclosed to Insurers when obtaining quotes/buying a policy ?

I would suggest that you re-visit the information you completed when you bought the policy, which was subsequently cancelled. Was it clear what information the Insurers were asking, when you answered the question ?

Unless you can evidence that the Insurers did not ask you to disclose these 2 claims, then you do not have any reason for complaint. It would be treated as a case of non disclosure and the Insurers would be correct in voiding/cancelling the policy. This will mean that you have to obtain specialist expensive Insurances in the future. It will also affect you when you come to arrange other Insurances. For example when you arrange Home Insurance, you will have to disclose the cancellation due to non disclosure.

We could do with some help from you.
