What does this mean?

 

Does it mean the debt is written off or that the SD has been set aside?

 

If it has been set aside, then what?

 

And do the costs come off the total bill or do they need to pay you in full directly?

It means that the Statutory Demand has been set aside. This could be for a variety of reasons, but usually because the court believes that the company should not have used the insolvency courts for this kind of claim. Costs are usually sent direct to the "victim"

Read through this thread again and your points about taking on the fight for justice is so true , but we are all so lucky, all you at GAG are so committed to helping us , God knows what we would have done with out this forum, well done to you all again, it gives even me with the mess I am in some real hope for a good outcome with my case ! When should I receive the costs from Lowells? I have had the court order.

Soon as I get it (if I do) I will make a donation to this fabulous site, I couldn't have done it without you!

 

Stan,is there nothing on the order that says when they have to be paid by ? I think it is usually 14 days.

14 days from the date of the Hearing, or 14 days from when they receive the order through the post?

 

Give them the benefit of hte doubt and go for 14 days from the date from when YOU received the Order in the post.

 

Just send them a copy or the order and a short letter that advises you look forward to their Cheque.

Yes thank you stan...here are some options on executing the Costs judgment.......dont forget to add any fee,s on for execution and even consider adding sec69 interest at 8% from when the SD was served up until payment received.

 

If you can raise it to £750 you can then serve a Stat Demand on them:-)
