We bought 2 3 seater sofas from SCS. in Speke Liverpool, just 6 days ago ..

..I complained on the same day they were delivered,

as the seating was awful sagging etc !.

..they said we are not entitled to a refund & we should read the Small Print ?

They are sending someone out to look it over.

.He probably say theres nothing wrong with it !.

.Taken pics etc.

So let us see what happens next ?..

.I will dig my heels in until I get a refund in full..

.as I usually just sit back & put up with things.

..not this time though.

.Ive just retired & got all the time in the world to fight for my rights for a change !!!

I have emailed the CEO bloke.

.waiting on a reply, maybe he will sort it ?

Good Afternoon [removed - dx]

, thank you for sending me your details.

Firstly let me apologise for the issues you have with your suite.

I can see they were logged on our system immediately and you have an appointment booked for tomorrow.

When the upholsterer attends,

he will inspect the goods and compile a report which will come to us.

We will then review this report and contact you to discuss his findings.

We will then be able to discuss the options available to you.

I do apologise that I can't give you an answer prior to receiving this report,

however this is what we need to do in order to move this forward.

There is a landline and mobile number on the account;

would I be able to contact you on either of those numbers to give you my direct line?

I would like to keep your details with me so I can monitor it throughout if that's ok with you?

Many Thanks, Helen,

ScS Customer Care

oh dear that lot...

they are equally responsible

if you complained on the day of arrival

then the whole finance deal should be cancelled and the sofa taken back under SOGA.

Hi,we bought 2 x3 seater sofas...only a few weeks ago...The seat cushions were so flat,& when we sat on them the Back cushions would shift & envelope you...so uncomfortable ! we had to keep getting up from the sofa & positioning them..nightmare....Have had to resort to the Claims court..SCS not bothered,as long as they get the money from "CREATION Finance". We have spoken to finance co.they told us to send pics in etc.

The angst of it all :-x...But thats there way,get you to give up..not us though....How can they know we have a valid complaint,if they dont come & sit on theses sofas ?????..felt abit isolated on this...But thanks for your reply !

MCOL is the online county court claims procedure. Northampton County Court then issue the paperwork. I'm sure that Scs will be in touch within a day of receiving the claim. You should have named Creation Finance as co-defendants but if you havent, never mind as lond as all the interest you will have to pay tem is included in your claim against ScS

I'm guessing the seat cushions the back cushions and arms are filled with hollow fibers same sort of stuff pillows are filled with pumped with air so when you see them on show or in pictures the sofas look big and chunky but after time with use the air is slowly squeezed out and you end up with cushions that look like flat baggy pan cakes.
