BT increasing prices again!

eg

http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-2434872/BT-opts-millions-customers-new-1-75-month-charges-services-used-free-prices-hiked.html

http://www.theguardian.com/business/2013/sep/27/bt-broadband-cost-rise-users

soon BT will be charging for basics such as Caller ID!!

blimey, they don't miss a trick. caller display should be standard.

still can't believe they charge for anon call reject given that they allow for people to withold their number in the first place! incredible.

is it all justifiable considering its all now computerised? is the gov't looking into it, like they did eg with the utilities?

whats the alternative? is there one?

What irks me, (and it's not just BT), this line rental con. Lets be conservative and say they have 10 million phone customers at £10 pm line rental 10x10= £100,000,000

per month just in line rental. Phew

That's another annoying thing. Sky talking about 'our' fibre bb. No it's not yours, BT laid it. I feel if you want a fibre system, then you should build your own.

been looking around, mse site has some comparisons, all around the same, post office does 10/mth with caller display standard and including weekend calls and some international calls. but, others prices also depend on the wholesale run by bt! and, as you'll see, once an existing customer somewhere prices will soon start to rise.

as the media suggest, looks like bt are trying to recover the cost of their 'bt sport' and fibre roll out!
