I keep getting spam texts off Brisk Buck offering me the exciting opportunity to take out one of their very reasonable loans. This text comes through as 'BriskBuck', does not give a number, cannot be replied to, and does not give the option to unsubscribe (not convinced I subscribed in the first place). It does, however, contain a link to their website.

Unless I'm missing something, their website has absolutely no way of contacting them. There's no email address, phone number, postal address, and I can't see any registration details e.g. consumer credit license etc.

They also claim "We are the UK's leading payday loan provider". Really??

Please tell me these dodgy shysters are breaking a tonne of rules? I've reported them to the ICO, on one of those form-filling & box-ticking jobs, but I'd love to know if there are other bodies I should be reporting this to? Yes, call me petty, but PDL companies caused me a lot of upset in the past and if I have the tiniest chance to contribute towards getting them stopped then I'll take it.

I've just had one of these spam texts from briskbuck. As you say, there is no way to 'contact us' on their website. I've also had another text with very similar content from CFO, who I have an outstanding debt to (and am trying to negotiate a payment plan with). Perhaps briskbuck and CFO are linked - just in case anyone submits card details to either company.

It'll probably be CFO trying to get people to put their new bank details into this site so they can raid the account to repay previous unpaid loans

There was another company sending texts like this earlier this year - that site didn't have any contact details either.................

Is it not a requirement of both Company's House and the Information Commissioner, that they have these details on their websites and letter headings?

Now I come think of it, I've had texts from IOWA as well. Could be worth a bit more digging. I've been having problems with CFO with their refusal to negotiate, and now it seems they are trying other tricks. Anyone else been receiving similar texts?

It would appear that several people owing money to CFO receive texts from IOWA telling them they are approved for a loan. If you were to apply to IOWA and put your new bank details in I believe the loan would then be refused but any money oustanding to CFO from a previous loan would be taken from the new card/bank account.
