Halifax have today refunded me £349.63 of the £2277.63 applied for through small claims court. This covers the Interest and Court charges. I have just spoken to Customer relations and they said that the rest of the money should be in my account by the end of today. Halifax had until the 18th April to respond to my claim. They haven't even acknowledged it. Nor have they asked me to sign anything yet to say I won't do it again. I just noticed that this money appeared in my bank today. As soon as I have all the money I send you guys some book vouchers. How do I go about that?

So they have refunded £2277.63 altogether to you? How long did it take from first letter/email to getting the charges back from them?

Awesome fella, 6 weeks that's nothing! I intend to use part of mine on my bond for my new apartment and then my season ticket at Man Utd. I'm tempted to ring them first, what do you think?

By phone. I said I look at the letter they were going to send me and then respond. I got a letter asking me to sign to say that I would not claim again etc. I rung customer relations straight to say the the letter I had received did not address all of the points in my original letter. After that they pretty much ignored me. Until today. They haven't even acknowledged the claim. They paid the money back.

I'm just wondering what to say when I phone, its probably easier to send the letter as I get tongue tied on the phone, pretty bad when I work in a call centre!
