I have a designated space comes with my housing association flat.

I dont have a car and once a week my neice comes to take me shopping

and parks in my space for at most an hour all told.

This saturday she was issued with a ticket from total parking solutions,

payy 100 for parking without a permit!

Phoned myhousing officer and explained that i have never has a permit

and he said i should have asked for one and i would have to pay!!

Do i?

Is this really enforcable?

All the residents got a ticket that weekend.

I rang the number on the ticket and spoke to a girl who was rude, unhelpful, and threatening.

What do i do now :(

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Were you forewarned that you had to apply for a parking permit because the parking situation had changed.

If they were they still recieved a ticket! I have just looked on the british parking association website showing the list of companies that can apply to dvla for reg detail and Total Parking Solutions are not on the list! Thats my fear that they will hound my neice with threatening letters at her address.

Ignore it. Completely. They would be absolutely insane to go near a courtroom for this.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Oh damn really,it all seems a very complicated process. :( as its my neice that will receive letters i shall have to pay for her,not easy on a small benefit. I have a good mind to knock it off my rent. I know as fact my housing officer never mentioned permits for visitors:/

Its simple to deal with. I will help you. I will pm you soon. Ok

It is best to keep all info on the forum please.

Taking or giving advice or information via a PM is not something that CAG agree's with and requests that their members should refrain from doing so. Wrong advice can be given and if this is the case then it cannot be rectified.

There is little point in appealing it. This would NEVER get through court. If it did, the judge would have to be severly reprimanded and possibly disbarred.
