Desk Monkeys any more?

I noticed some of my posts have been edited to say Desk Jockeys instead.

Hardly insult of the year is it? I call the PPC lot far worse in real life :|

What can they do if they are called names? Run to the BPA and whinge or is there an actual chance they could take the site to court for defamation of their (decidedly questionable) character?

Wouldn't they have to prove it was aimed at an individual?

We were receiving complaints from other caggers, I suspect they were getting a little tired of the derogatory comments. It isn't just this particular comment but others as well.

Perhaps if it was just once or twice, it might have gone unnoticed. .. !!

My understanding is that on least 1 other forum PE have printed the comments made and made complaint to the site owner & hosting service which resulted in threads being pulled/edited. Whilst we may call them what we like under our breath for the sake of keeping on the right side of things we need to be a little more polite in public. If it helps I would concur with your own comments.

It must be remembered that some of the people working for the PPC are working for a living and because they have no choice they have to obey what their masters dictate even if you do not like it. They have to put food on the table just as much as any other person. Insult the organisation, but not the individuals in the lower ranks as they are probably just as human as any of us!

I thought this site (and others) were about standing up to bullies.

The private parking industry is already in self destruct mode, despite the false euphoria by the BPA surrounding the introduction POFA and POPLA in England and Wales , the reality is that these companies have lost a massive amount of revenue by the LONG OVERDUE banning of clamping. (Something that was described as extortion and fraud by a Scottish Judge as far back as the early 90s.

They now have a petted lip because they are losing appeals through POPLA.

Latest figures show that they are also losing the majority of DEFENDED court actions. This something that needs to be worked on to ensure that every Parking Charge Notice in England and Wales is appealed through POPLA and all decisions collated to ensure consistency. Every court decision must also be recorded in detail for reference purposes to ensure that the BPA do not try and flannel our political leaders by publicly exposing their very obvious lack of mathematical knowledge when the legislation is reviewed.

To return to your original point, a massive amount of work is being done UK wide to expose the facts behind this highly questionable industry.

IN THE MEANTIME BE PATIENT AND GIVE IT TIME, AS A SOURCE OF AMUSEMENT WITH A SERIOUS NOTE ALWAYS READ THE PARKING PRANKSTER.
