Hi,

Just applied for my daughters first licence and the money I paid was not to DVLA but another web site:

https://www.drivinglicence.uk.com/index.php

So we paid £50 to have the form printed out !

The DVLA have returned her form asking for another £50.

I have spoke to my credit card company asking to do a charge back but they don't hold out much luck.

Has anyone managed to get their money back from these people?

JJ

Hi, it is a similar site, but this one is for when your applying or renewing your licence.

The link is in my original post.

I've done a bit of nosing around since I got the letter and it seems there is a lot of unhappy people with this site

ALWAYS go to http://www.gov.uk first for any online government enquiry, or go to the post office and ask for a paper form.

Good luck with getting your money back but as your CC company said when you spoke to them, don't hold out much hope. The website you linked to does after all state very clearly that it is not in any way affiliated with the DVLA, and that they offer a 'checking' service, and this is what you got.

Remember to be vigilant when it comes to booking the tests.

do a chargeback or a section 75

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Righto. Yes, there does appear to be quite a few of these web sites springing up :(

Theyre not illegal and exploit peoples lack of knowledge, so all the shady people and con artists are getting into it before restrictions get made.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks
