If you move home, and don't give DCAs your address, but carry on paying £10 a month on accounts where interest is frozen, I wonder whether that parks the issue and eventually pays down the debt?

If you don't need or apply for credit, will your credit file still show your new address if you give your new address to the bank where you hold your current account?

Another thing is that wherever you move to, you would need gas and electricity, and most of the energy companies hand your personal details over to CRAs. I don't know how visible these addresses are.

HI Guys

DCAs will use Credit Info, Electoral Roll & Current Account Info to trace you.

So if you have one account with a different address they will track you down using the info, send a spoofing letter to get a response, etc

If interest is frozen and no more charges are being applied then, yes, it should in theory end up paying down the debt.

We could do with some help from you.

It is extremely easy for a DCA or for that matter ANYONE to trace an individual, 192.com for instance, you may well have an ex-directory phone number just means the number is not in the BT phone book.

Electoral Roll data is easily accessible, as said utility companies will make ID search and some such a BT actually report accounts to the CRAs.

Any online app insurance quote etc., will leave a footprint on files and data will be up dated.

Any Letters I Draft are N0T approved by CAG and no personal liability is accepted.

I hope you've checked all these accounts are legally assigned properly

and done all the reclaiming you can

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Alternatively if you dont advise of CoA then you hand them the perfect excuse to issue any summons to your old address...denies you the opportunity to defend (default judgment) and is accepted by the Courts as good service.
