Dear all,

As we know and understand the DVLA is the enabler in this private parking [problem] industry. I don't want to destroy it I simply want it to work as it should in a fair open honest and transparent manner. At the moment the DVLA are still refusing to act in the consumer interest and are solely intent on maintaining the existing business model for themselves.

I have made no secret of the fact that the only way to challenge the DVLA is either via the mainstream media or by swamping the DVLA with justifiable complaints. The below is one of the minutes from the latest DVLA consumer forum

23. DVLA reported receiving an increasing amount of correspondence from the public around Schedule 4 of PoFA. Where ANPR is used the ticket needs to be provided to the motorist within 14 days and there are concerns that companies may be implying keeper liability outside of these timescales. DVLA had written to BPA asking them to advise their members that such disregard for this legislative requirement could lead to their suspension from receiving keeper information.

It is absolutely imperative that 'victims' are directed/encouraged to complain complain, complain to the DVLA data sharing department - lets create some jobs in Swansea in the new 'complaints handling department' within the DVLA - COMPLAINING WORKS - the DVLA need to be held to account for what are they are doing, make them earn their £2.50s.

Regards

Nev

The DVLA confuse me, in October 2012 five well known companies including Roxburghe were suspended by the DVLA from obtaining RK details for gross misconduct, but carried on... when I emailed Mike Butler of the DVLA to clarify he stated that they did not have access to the fee paying link, but did have access to the free link....bizarrre
