Since most people are far more likely to complain than compliment, I thought I'd give Hobbycraft and Anchor a really big well done for resolving a problem with no fuss or faff.:clap2:

I bought an Anchor tapestry kit from Hobbycraft. Unfortunately one colour of yarn had come from two different dye lots and was very subtly different in colour, but this could only be seen after the design had been partly completed.

I emailed Hobbycraft with a photograph and a scan of the receipt. They contacted Anchor who apologised and replaced the kit, whilst Hobbycraft refunded and gave me a gift voucher to compensate for the wasted time and inconvenience. I am very impressed and wish all stores would take this approach.

:thumb: good stuff, some good candle making kits you could use your voucher for :)
Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)

Nah - I need more tapestry stuff!

Problem is that my nearest Hobbycraft is 8 miles away with no public transport so I have to wait until some kind soul offers to drive me, about once every 6 months. Result = I spend a fortune every time I go.

have to admit we go fairly often but dont end up buying much, they are good in the range they have but they seem very pricey, as an example one of the threads is 7.99 for 1000yards i just payed 1.50 for 3000 yards elsewhere
