I have just had a word with a colleague who deals with PDL debt problems as part of her job, she tells me that PTP has responded to SARs when sent to the Malta address.

A little more, she has asked me if your loan was applied for via a broker/agent or direct from PTP?

Hand on my heart, as far as I am concerned I have never had a Payday loan from PTP

In this situation there are it seems 2 realistic options.

Play MMF along disputing all that it days and does/ and making a formal complaint to the Malta address.

State Clearly that you have never been a customer of PTP or any other trading style used by PTP.

Require them (don't ask) to provide unequivocal proof that you have ever had any a loan agreements with them.

You Require the Names and addresses of the bank (s) that the alleged loans were credited to.

Your require them to provide the account numbers and any other data relating to the accounts that the alleged loans were credited to.

Unless the data required is provided within 14 days of the date of the letter PTP must withdraw the alleged debt from MMF and remove all adverse data from credit file forthwith.

Just a few ideas for you to play with drob.

Copy it to Neil Petty at MMF.

30 loans from the same company - that would suggest 'excessive rollovers' to me...

Something smells here - especially with MMF seeming to 'corner the market' in collecting alleged debt from a very murky area of the sub-prime financial scene (couldn't really use the word 'market' here again)

This company has hit an all time low and it would be very pleasing to see the FCA show their teeth and close them (and another company in the same area beginning with and ending in L) who seem to be collecting virtually statute barred debt by dubious means.

Are we referring to "The Company That Shall Not Be Named" ? Involving Ms Tute?

We could do with some help from you.

Hello sillygirl1

30 loans from the same company would suggest 'excessive rollovers' which would point to the fact that I started a financial relationship with PTP in 2006 and not 2009 as stated on my credit file.

Thought you said youve never had a loan from them? Or are you taking into account the bit about 30 loans... / 30 months ? (2009 - 30 months = mid 2006)

Hand on my heart, as far as I am concerned I have never had a payday loan from PTP.

MMF have purchased the alleged debt from PTP and have started to record information on my credit file.

I have asked for proof from MMF regarding the alleged debt and in response MMF claim that Pounds Till Payday have confirmed the bank account the loan was paid to was in my name. As were the previous 30 loans, obtained. (No Documents to support the claim)

My credit file states that the Account Date Start is 08/05/2009 and a default was issued just 21 days later on 29/05/2009

I will do, should I address it to Neil Petty? mind you he will only end up passing it on to one of his colleagues to deal with it.

Yes address to Petty, then if anything is out of order it he who has to answer for it.

Well it's not your debt (s) so you will never have made any payments, bank accounts would show 30 + 1 PDLs paid into your accounts.

Make sure you keep us posted on this...

I really want to see how this turns out

ditto.

if that prior thread is related, drop said there; tried to login, there was an emailed def notice from ptp (albeit a duff dn), then offered a repayment plan, and received a copy alleged 'agreement', etc.

but, as brig suggests, is re a q of them providing proof.

No way on this earth have I had 30 + 1 PDL's albeit probably alleged rollovers from PTP and if this was the case wouldn't this suggest irresponsible lending?

I still require MMF to to provide unequivocal proof, Names and addresses of the bank (s) that the alleged loans were credited to and account numbers and any other data relating to the accounts that the alleged loans were credited to.

Hi I am new to this site but have been reading a lot about MMF and would like to tell you of a recent experience. I have been managing my debt successfully since 2009 and as far as I am aware have either paid off all my creditors orbam paying them. In my employment I am monitored by my employer every 18 months by an official visit and update on my financial status to date. Imagine my surprise when through my letter box came two very nice envelopes edged in red from a DCA called BPO on behalf of MMF. Inside the letters quoted two account references I don't recognize and the original company is stated as MMF. I have not received any prior notification as to who these debts were with and I have never entered into an agreement with MMF! I have gone through my paperwork and nothing there. So far all I have received via letters. No phone calls or emails ad as far as I am aware they don't possess those details. The strange thing is my address is on the second line as in house number and road name but then on the same line is the house number and the road alongside where I live! I do not intend requesting any details if the debt I.e prove it letter contacting them in any way shape or form. Having been through the baliffs twice since 2009 I have grown a hard outer skin and if anyone wants to knock on my door I am not phased by that either! Anyway any comments or advice is welcome and thank you in advance.

Hi Welcome to CAG

Motor Mile Finance is on of the most disreputable of the debt buying/collection "industry".

They are not the original creditor here, they specialise in buying catalogue and payday loan debt.

MMF is very persistent and invasive in its approach and care is needed.

Never get involved in telephone calls with this company.

Have you checked your CRA files yet? If not it would be a good idea to do so.
