Hi all,

I am having a few issues with my scooter warranty and I wondered if you could help confirm the legalities of a few things.

I bought a scooter in March of this year,it came with a two year parts and labour warranty. The warranty was with the importer of the scooters not the manufacturer.

A couple of months ago importer changed and now the new importer is saying they will honor existing warranties but will only cover parts and I will have to pay for the labour.

Is it legal for them to suddenly change the terms of the warranty ?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

SOGA. Tell the garage to deal with it.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Have a read on SOGA. It should still apply. The manufacturers warranty is in ADDITION to your statutory rights.

Regarding your actual question though, they should inform you before the changes happen and give you time to opt out and cancel.

the issue is with whomever you brought the bike from under soga

nothing to do with any warranty

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
