Ok, now I am worried, we were going to re mortgage with Kensington, but since 2011 they no longer take people with CCJ even if it will be satisfied when the remortgage happens.

So, now we are looking at Precise mortgages.....

They are not cheap amd won't listen to the fact that the credit files are incorrect etc

Any one had any dealings with them? We were hoping to do 3 - 6 months max, then go with a different lender.

Hello all,

Due to zillions of problems, credit files are dodgy. Hopefully I will be able to clear an old CCJ later this week , then mine should be perfect again, DH still fighting that one....:-x

So, remortgage deals - Kensington or Precise? Both offer high interest and high risk, but would get us out of a jam.

How long would we have to wait before we could remortgage again with the likes of the Post Office? (It's £400 pcm cheaper than the ones above)

I read on their website that they take people with OLD CCJ's but only if they are under 250 :-(

but mine would be satisfied .

Is it worth speaking to them ?

Any Advice on who we should trust :| and for how long let me know, wish we could stay at our 1% current one but have to move on....

Also, is it wise, bearing in mind that his nibs still has some stuff lingering to get the house put in my name only once we are clear???

I was with Kensington for two years when I had previous financial problems and nobody else would touch me.

Nothing wrong with them. I paid on time each month and I had no issues with them whatsoever. Yes, it was a high rate but it was them or nothing - so I went with them.

They were a bit stubborn on payment methods though. I don't use Direct Debit for large (over £100) payments as I don't trust companies not to call wrong, instead I paid via Standing Order (automated set up through internet bank console) and even though at first they were resistant they were fine in the end.

Kensington will overlook bits and bobs in terms of bad debts etc as that is their area obviously.

thanks that's probably going to be the one for at least six months.
