I am currently claiming JSA (income-based) & attending the Work Programme however I am due to go into hospital as a outpatient for a diagnostic surgery under general anaesthesia. If I exceed the 2 week limit for being ill what are my options?

Thanks

Yes, make a claim for ESA (Employment and Support Allowance). You will need a sick note - a doctor or nurse at the hospital can issue you with certificate MED 10 which should do the job.
