Just wanted to let EVERYONE know that i have sucessfully won against HSBC. I received the cheque on Friday 13th of all days - 13 is my lucky number though! - for just over £2500.

Went through the standard procesess, HSBC offered me a 'settlement amount' i politely declined and went for the lot on MCOL. Julie Kyle from DG contacted me asking for a breakdown of charges which i duly faxed, then, on the LAST day before the 28 days were up, rec'd a phone call from DG saying that a cheque had been posted to me. It was for the full amount PLUS i asked for an extra £75 as they added on extra charges since i started proceedings. Rec'd cheque and now paid it in. Fanbloodytastic!

Just want to say a HUGE thanks to the site (sorry to sound all wet lettuce gwyneth paltrow) and say if it wasn't for this site i would never have got through it, with all the template letters and advice, its been a great.

Thanks and good luck to everyone else. You WILL do it if you stay strong and stick to the timetable!

well done chewlips :) hope to be in the same position soon, but why do they make us take them to court? i might get a job at HSBC by telling them managers i can save them millions a year, just by replying to customers who send an LBA and offering a full refund of charges. it will save them 8% interest and court fees, plus there must be a record somewhere of how many cases have been issued against companies etc. this cannot look good for them!

Nice one well done.

Great to hear of the successes, makes it all worthwhile.

I love the smell of banks coughing up refunds first thing in the morning.

HSBC, they tried they failed, they coughed up in full

To all the others beware i am heading your way next.
