No they wont. Because Wonga ill not have any card details on file. If there is no direct debit set up, then wonga would need the long number across the top, and the security number on the back to collect money from ur account. They will only be able to collect from ur account if YOU give THEM the new card details....id advise you NOT to do that as these, and other payday lenders have been known to raid ur bank acount!

When i was on repayment, i was on direct debit with them...only they had my account number and sort code....that way, if i couldnt pay one month..id delete the direct debit off my internet banking.they wouldnt be able to touch my account or my money. lol. but fortunately, i have only ONE pain in the butt company left to finish paying

Even if they know my bank details? Account number and sort code? But I'm not sure that they have... And then what is the best option to make payments when payment plan accepted?

but they dont know ur bank details because u reported ur card lost and so the details they had before dont work anymore. so as of the day u reported ur card lost, and the card blocked...wonga have no details in file for u to colelct money ....

using a sort code and account number is only for direct debits...nobody can take money from ur account if u only give sort code and account number lol only if a direct debit has been set up!

i remember when a manager from quickquid called me to set up a direct debit with them, she asked me for card number which i told her, im setting up a direct debit, u do not need my card number, only my account number and sort code...haha the cheek!

Loki, theres nothing to worry about really. You gave wonga the card details, so thats the only info they had. Your bank has blocked that card and proof of that is the failed transaction by wonga. They will only get your new card details if you give them out.

Please note that the majority of lenders have 12 weeks to get their acts together or lose their licence. thats why you must complain whenever theres an issue. No matter how silly it might look.

There are no templates.

Each complaint is unique. You need to outline what has happened, where they failed and how you want to the issue rectified.

You can post it here for us to check for you if you like. Also, make sure you head the complaint " Formal complaint". This is so you can start the timer before you get the FOS involved. Make sure to inform the OFT as well.

Yesterday I was a bit busy and decide to write complaint today. But finally I get answer from Wonga. They are accepting my payment plan, but interest charges are frozen from this day, so I'll have to pay them about 55£ more. I'm going to pay them and that will the last time when I'm using payday loans .

I didn't get bank details from them, so I'll write them about that.Don't wannna give them my new card details. I hope that this time I will not have to wait one week for the answer.

  • 2 weeks later...

Friday 15th of March I made my first payment of 100£ to Wonga as agreed. I made a transfer to them using internet banking. After that I have send them email. On saturday I get a message that I missed my payment. I know that it takes up to 3 days untill they will get the money, but I decide to call them.

Man on the phone said to me that everithing is ok and that they will reset my repayment plan when they will get the money. Yesterday I get blank email from them and today 3 missed calls, so I decide to call again. Lady on phone told me that she will reset my repayment plan, but now I owe them 526£.

When I set up repayment plan my debt was 609£, so it means that they added 17£ to my debt just because I didn't call them on friday when I made my first payment.

She said that I MUST call them before the payment and after. Do they have the right to do that???

Btw they send me email with new agreement.

Your problem is you called them and you fell for the lies they love to say. Ignore them completely, carry on with the repayment plan you agreed. They cant do anything as you have your bank statements to back you up.
