Just wondered if there was anything I could do about my husbands debt.

About 5 years ago he had a current account with Lloyds TSB - I don't know the reason why but he went overdrawn by £90.00

We have just received a letter from Wescot stating he owes £3115 for this debt.

Is there anything we can do to reduce this amount or just pay it off bit by bit.

Hi, Don't do anything as yet please.

Your husband needs to check his credit reference file to see the status of this debt.

A £3K debt from a £90 OD is a bit much, was this an over limit amount if so what was the actual OD limit.

Are Westcott acting for Lloyds or have they bought the account ie do they refer to Lloyds as their ''client?

Any Letters I Draft are N0T approved by CAG and no personal liability is accepted.

Thanks for your reply

The original overdrawn amount was £90 - he didn't have any overdraft on the account - i think it must have been a direct debit

Wescot have mentioned Lloyds TSB at the top of the letter they sent with an account number

BCOBS complaint

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
