Hi,

having read through many posts I have decided to try and reclaim charges from ge money.

The loan is paid off but we have nearly 2300 in charges to pay .

.they have become less aggressive since the loan amount was paid off

but are constantly ringing at the moment.

They have asked us to fill in an I.e form but as of yet I have refused.

My real question is where to start and then what to do next?

What charges I can claim,

we have avoided repossession 3 times,

and those that I can"t ?

Any help would be gratefully received, big thanks in advance.

hold on the blackunderlined SAR and click!

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

No don't have up to date statement of account.?

Not necessarily up to date...what statements do you have?

What you are looking for are the £40 a time Monthly Admin Fees (or similar figure) £25 failed Direct Debit fees and such. These can all be reclaimed with interest at the rate they were charging you.

If you haven't got all of the statements up to the date of repayment then you will need to SAR them

Good Morning Hussy,

We are in the same boat as you, declaring SAR on GE Money :)

Our thread is http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?379605-GE-Money-Loan-paid-but-have-outstanding-arrears-account. which you might find handy? You can see where I am so far and I've had some helpful responses, there is also copies of the letters that I've sent.

Get your SAR sent off first, we sent ours a week ago so are only a week ahead of you really.

You will see that DonkeyB highlighted to me about our PPI that was taken out and missold. Did you take out PPI?

Hope this is of help.
