Hi -

In August last year I decided to claim back the PPI for any credit cards I had, had.

To my joy I have been successful in all of them and received my refunds,

well all except the one from my Mint card.

I'm hoping someone can advise me with regards to interest on these refunds as I am now confused. (not that it takes much!)

A couple of weeks ago RBS finally got back to me and have oh so generously sent me an offer of goodwill

with the breakdown of this offer as detailed below -

Refund of premiums paid between 11 April 2008 and December 2010 £285.98

Compound interest on premiums, based upon interest rate charged on credit card £204.34

Refund of erroneous over limit fees paid between 11 April 2008 and 11 December 2010 £276.00

Compound interest on premiums, based upon interest rate charged on credit card £182.92

Total refund due/offer £949.24

What I don’t understand is this compound interest.

In all my other claims I received statutory interest and that isn't mentioned on this.

Is the compound in place of that?

I apologise now if this is a really stupid question but all my other claims were so straight forward I never had any issues like this.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
