Today I am sending off the first letter asking for £385 in paid referral charges on my 20 yr old son's account - all these charges mounted up when he was abroad and couldn't check his balance online (as they tell you not to use public computers as unsafe) - and each time he was about £10-15 over the limit. Hopefully they may pay up as he is young and they want to keep the youngsters with them, once they have their greedy claws in.....!

Next is my daughter's - she'll be much the same I reckon - let's hope these go well before my huge own claim!!

wish me luck and I will post any replies I get :)

You won't need luck just alot of patience when dealing with Barclays.

They just hate giving back your money quickly.

No worries though just think the extra interest you will be getting.:)

Definitely on the cards - thinking of the Nationwide as both my kids travel a lot and the nationwide is the only bank not to charge for foreign withdrawals....but - may go down the ethical route and opt for the co-op.
