Hi can anyone give me any help, i

went over my credit limit on my credit card, and the bank sent me a letter stating this and said they would charge £12,

seeing I always pay the minimum amount by direct debit and i had only gone over my limit by £70,

i left it and the next month i got the same letter again.

now I've applied for a job and i need to fill in a security vetting form,

and it asks ' have you ever been sent a default or termination notice from your bank or lender'

is this letter classed as a 'default notice'?

thanks

thanks for the reply

i've had more than 3 thou, probably 5 or 6 , thou they are all the same as far as i remember, sorry i dont have the letter here with me, but i'm back under the credit limit now and i've spoke to my bank, they dont have a problem with it, just told me to make a bigger payment so i dont go over the limit again.

the letter mentions consumer protection act and i should pay what is over the credit limit and they will charge me interest.

so this is not a default notice, as i've said i paid every month the minimum amount by direct debt.

stupid looking back its cost me more in the charges for sending the letters than i was over the lmit

you can reclaim ALL those PENALTY fees

see below

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
