Millions of bank customers could be entitled to thousands of pounds each in compensation for allegedly being mis-soldicon fee-charging current accounts. Around a third of customers with a packaged account, which cost up to £300 a year, fails to use benefits such as travel insurance, mobile phone cover and Breakdownicon policies that come as part of the deal. A fifth of current account holders have these packaged or perk accounts. Many were lured into opening them by branch staff who receive large commissions for meeting monthly targets that tie customers to a lucrative monthly banking fee.

Wondering if we have a claim for this. We went in to arrange a loan (at the banks invite to do a "financial review" and help us "clear the overdraft"). We were told if we took an upgrade to the account he could "get us a better deal on the loan" and it would make us look " a more attractive proposition" for the managers to lend to us. TBH same old flannel as the PPI and we have already had a payout on the PPI for this loan. Going to take a look.
