Just had a gas cooker delivered and installed by Currys (Mon 7 Jan). Had to email them to ask what to do because we found some damage which has been covered by white paint. Sent the email on Mon just after the delivery men had left. Get a reply to this email tonight. They are saying that if we've used the cooker then we're not entitled to a replacement. Is this right?

In fact we don't want a replacement just the damaged parts replaced.

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi

Now a couple of question:

1. When the Gas Cooker was delivered was it still completely wrapped before the installers intalled the item as if straight from manufacturer?

2. Was the Cooker completely unwrapped before entering your property?

3. Where the cooker was installed would it be easy to see the damage before and after installation.

4. Did the installer bring to your attention the damage before installation. (think answer will be NO)

5. Are you able to take photographs of the cooker in its installed position and then of the damage.

As has been said the SOGA is your friend here.
