Hi guys , just recently signed up and im in need of some advice.

My wife has gotten into problems with Studio .

She has M.S and i myself am disabled and in receipt of benefits.

She had order items from Studio and was paying monthly bills and only had a credit limit of £1500 but somehow studio have been adding charges every month. £50 service charge each month and charges for things i dont even understand pirizewise and purchase protect??

So basically although my wife has been paying them every month and has paid £800 so far my bill is over £2500 due to charges being constantly added.

Due to the excess stress that has been caused my wife is in relapse and im having to take care of all her financees.

Please someone give me advice, we don't owe all this money they say we do. They have now started to send through threatening letter from debt collectors.

My wife had every intention of paying them but they add more charges on than she can pay.

Hello and Welcome,

The majority of these charges can be re-claimed, do you have all your statements for this account.

Have a look at this recent thread................................

Hi Scott and thank you for the quick reply.

I have only recently found out about all this as my wife had kept it a secret from me.

I can only find about a years worth of statements and the Studio website account information only goes back a year.

As far as she can recall she has had an active account with them since 2010

Thank you for for the link and help i will read through the info just now.

All the best

You can get all your statements by sending a Subject Access Request to Studio, this would cost £10, I'm sorry this is causing you and your wife so much stress, remember a debt such as this is very low priority and a solution can always be found.

Thanks again Scott. Sorry to be so ignorant of terminology and i tried googling it but couldn't find anything.

I had difficulty understanding the first line " which your data holder has registered with the Data Protection Commissioner as the address of the Data Controller "

Where do i get this address? Im sorry im not thinking clearly and all the excess stress has really got to me.

Thanks for letting me know its a low priority debt as you can probably tell its upset me a little.

The main studio address will do as it will be passed to the data controller
