Hi everyone.

 

I'm Just wanting to ask a few questions a bout my e.s.a application.

 

I have been on the work related group for the last 6 months,due to depression and awaiting psychiatric help.

 

I have sent away another esa50 form.I was wondering with the new rule that is through(only being able to claim for one year) should I appeal for the "support group"?

 

That's if I pass the medical though.I am worried like everyone else a bout this.I was thinking about applying for D.L.A as well.

 

However worst come to the worst,what benefits can I claim after the support group ends?

Firstly, is there a reason why you wouldn't get income based ESA (for instance working partner, other income, too much savings), the time limit only applies to contribution based ESA.

 

Do you meet any of the support group descriptors?

Am not 100% sure,but think it's contribution based ESA.

No, I just stay in the flat myself.

The 365 day rule applies to contribution based ESA for those in the WRAG or assessment phase. If your ESA© ends after 365 days and you have no partner, other income or savings over £16,000 then you could apply for income related ESA, which has no time limit.

 

You can also appeal to be in the Support Group if you're not placed in that group following your next assessment.

Also dont all appeals need to be made within 4 weeks of the decision

In some circumstances, you can apply up to 13 months later. But you have to have good reasons for doing this.
