DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

oh gosh this is hard

ive sat all day going threw what i have from banks from the charges last year.

ive found a couple which is obviouse but the morgages are hard to see if there was ppi?

One says monthly for payment insurance ? is that one?

i have a morgage advance which states halifa GEFi ? not sure what that is ?

mbna loan says payment protection... 1 FULL then says nothing after ie cost?

How can i find out if there was ppi on these ive found?

Can i send a letter to ask them of a breakdown of all the PPI on these accounts?

thank you

if you cant spot things

you either need to do some reading up on other peoples threads

for the same creditor

or scan up what you are having problems understanding

sounds like its on MBNA [look t the statements each month]

unsure on the mortgage

did you have building s ins or life cover with them

dx

how to scan up:

scan the required letters/agreements/sheets - as a picture[jpg] file

don't forget you can use a mobile phone or a digital camera too!!

'

BUT......

ENSURE: remove all pers info inc. barcodes etc using paint program

but leave all figures and dates. {DO NOT USE A BIRO OR PEN]

convert existing PC files to PDF [office has an installable print to PDF option]

..

goto one of the many free online pdf converter websites [http://docupub.com/pdfconvert/]

it would be better to upload a multipage pdf if

you have many images too rather than many single pdfs

.

or if you have PDF as an installed printer drive use that

or use word and save as pdf

try and logically name your file so people know what it is.

i'e Default notice dd-mm-yyyy

.

open a new msg box here

hit go advanced below the msg box

hit manage attachments below that box

hit the add files button on the top right

hit select files, navigate to your file on your pc

hit upload files

.

They call PPI different things. It can be called things like "insurance premium" as well as "payment protection insurance". Monthly interest payments are called "debt purchases".

Important things: get a copy of the original contract agreement - that will show if you were signed up for PPI automatically (pre-filled check box, or opt-out box, or just a signed here and here). If you didn't need PPI (self employed, unemployed, company sickness benefits) that works in your favor.

Use the Data Protection Subject Access Requests to get copies of all bank statements as far back as you want to go. Sometimes they will print out the documents double sided, so that makes reading through a bit tricky. That will give you the PPI charges for each month. You can use these to fill in spreadsheet forms available from this site which automatically calculate the total PPI and 8% interest that has accumulated on each account. There's a template form for sending a request. Use recorded or next-day delivery to get a log of when the document was received. The financial group has a 40-day time limit to respond. Having the details from all the bank statements will let you

know the total PPI refund you should receive.

Send a formal request to the relevant banks for a PPI refund. They might accept your claim, but then again they might refuse and send you a "final response" letter. This is needed for a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman. You'll need to use recorded delivery or next day delivery in order to log the dates the request was sent.

You then use these to send a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman. They'll need your request, the final response, your bank account details, the total PPI due along with any other costs (eg. PPI caused you to miss a payment and have a mortgage foreclosed).
