    • yes VERY only the police/council can fine you for parking by issuing a Penalty Charge Notice   if you look carefully, you'll see this is a private Parking Company and a Parking Charge Notice... in all effect - a speculative invoice for breaking some imaginary contract you entered into by using the payment machine. NOT A FINE.   sadly, as I think you've now realised, YOU DO NOT EVER APPEAL in 9/10 cases. as you've shot yourself in the foot by identifying yourself as the driver and lost any protection you had under the Protection Of Freedom Act [POFA] by doing so.   please complete this:   and scan up to ONE multipage PDF ONLY the NTK and any other communications to/from PE.   lastly STOP EVER RINGING AND USING EMAIL WITH THESE FLEECERS or THEIR DOGS. writing ONLY  from now on.
    • No I did not confirm the site as I do not know which site it was. It was the first (and last ) time I had travelled on that road and I paid what I thought was the correct fee. I have been through every stage of this and still end up paying £425.50! This is extortion! I would now gladly pay the £2.50 again if they would allow it. I already paid £6. If you read Bailiff advice's post he has found a website that may be the one used as my bank statement states Bristol in the transaction and this website is owned by someone in that area (albeit a private home when googled). I will do my damnedest to get this money back and am seeing legal advise. If the original money has been taken then it is theft.
    • HI Sorry to say I'm back again with this one that I hoped might have gone away. It seems not.    I have today received a claim form which I've attached. Also I have attached the terms and conditions from the car park and the Claim Particulars.  A   ny advice on what to do please? I have not corresponded with VCS in any way. There is no evidence that I was the driver that I am aware of. There are no photos on their website other than of my car.   Thank you.
    • What you needed to do was apply to have it set aside. Such an application needs to be made “promptly”.   You can expect that they’ll oppose such an application, and that gives them grounds to do so. Given that you are now 6+ months down the line from when you started posting about a set aside : they have a valid argument.
    • Unless I've missed it I don't think you have confirmed which site you paid the crossing charge to. It seems likely that you inadvertently paid the DartCharge to a 'look alike' site that isn't the official Dartford Crossing payment page. In that case your 'proof of payment' would not, unfortunately, be proof of payment to Highways England because you didn't pay Highways England,. You paid someone else who isn't authorised to receive money on behalf of Highways England.

natwest have blocked my accounts except 2 and told me i gotta ring collections in the morning

i have 2 silver select accounts

1 of which is overdrawn and still active and

the over one is in credit a little

also have 2 saver accounts both of which are in credit

and a basic bank account - for internet buys after coop and rewardsnow done me over

and i argued with both parties for refund as it wasnt authorised transaction and got no where

and i have a isa with nothing in

work has been a bit sketchy recently with a little bit here and there and i didnt realise my select 2 account was £59 OD

calculated income between opening them accounts and now is about £2400 in 5 months inc paying rent and bills and food and been a struggle

they have blocked my accounts that are in credit and left one active which isnt

- can they do this as i have regular small payments going in and out of my other accounts

- its 4am in the morning and i cant sleep as im fuming at the bank after having to walk 9 miles home

because i couldnt get my money which i had put by to get back from work

what can i do on this front

- also i will need some more advice on other debts

but will start that in a new thread in another day

because i actually want to sort myself out financially

as im 25 and not getting any younger lol

i cant access my money to buy food or pay my rent and got a gut feeling that they will say pay 59 quid

and we unblock accounts and give you access to your own money again

Hello and Welcome,

Think the first thing you should do is open another account with a Bank not associated with Natwest, with the accounts you have I'd be worried about their right to 'offset', there's some info here.........

http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/ombudsman-news/40/40_setoff.htm

Giving them a phone and trying to sort out the £59 payment would stop them adding any more charges to the account.

Regards,

Scott.

So Natwest made a £58 payment from your account making it overdrawn by this amount.

Let us know how you get on with that.

so they appear to be using their right of offset to pay one account of with another.

if you think this is unfair

and there are bank charges involved

i'd start a BCOBS complaint

click the link and read the RBS stuff

I think you need to start an account with a bank not associated with Nat West, in order to prevent them offsetting. I would think they are probably adding interest to the O/D which keeps the debt increasing.

You should write a letter of Complaint to their Head office saying you think their treatment of you is unfair.

well here what they have done

they are closing my account as off 10th of april

ive offered to clear it on the 9th as thats my next pay day and they refused to help

im fuming still to say the least and now are playing with my welfare as if my payment of 140 quid goes in i have to ring them to authorise it to go out again then go to bank and pretty much am going to be left with 70 quid to last a fortnight if they withhold it which i think they are going to do

im going to open a new account with another bank today and am going to look at the complaints proceedure as they are playing with my welfare as well as transfering the 46p that was in one of my accounts without my authorisation as well as not telling me they closing the account

they tried a payment plan idea then daid nowt they could do so i then went to offer to pay full balence even tho i cant afford to on tuesday which they refused so any ideas greatly appriecated
