Hello , a friend of mines daughter who is 14 has just purchased ( spent ) £500 worth of downloads from itunes ...She is totally stunned that someone could do such a thing in such a short period of time especially as it was her daughter .

Has anyone had a similar experience and is it possible to claim the money back as this was a credit card and my friend simply does not have this kind of money .

Surely Itunes will realise this when confronted by the facts

thank you

regards

rs

Hi,

I'd doubt there's anything she can do.

Thanks , I`ll pursue this anyway , cant believe a company like Itunes would not at least think about a refund given the circumstances or accept that a child could possibly be responsible for missusing her mothers dc to the sum of £500 !!

Hopefully common sense will prevail , i dont know what she purchased but whatever it was can be digitally recovered anyway

I've a feeling this happens a lot more than we ever hear about, like you say £500 is a lot of money and to lose it that way would make anybodys blood boil.

I hope she gets some joy from the Bank or i-tunes, let us know how she gets on.

Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)

and i would really recommend turning off in app purchases, this is where alot of people get caught out and loose alot of money, the game is free but the inapp coins cost real money etc

go to settings => restrictions => and flick inapp purchases to off

also put a passcode on the restrictions so it cant be turned back on
