It seems that I have acquired a reputation - a good one, I'm pleased to say!

The lady I've been advising with her debt payments has a friend, who also needs a bit of help - she was also a client of the professional money advisor, paid for by Stoke on Trent Council, who could not continue because of funding problems.

She has been paying £1-00 per month on a credit card debt to a High Street bank - the balance is £180, and there is a CCA in place, [i've seen it], and no interest has been added, the payment was arranged by the previous advisor.

Indentical personal circumstances - pensioner, widowed, hardly any pension, so it's made up by credits, and on housing benefit, plus DLA.

A standing order is in place - all OK, but now the bank have sent an I & E form, [one was supplied by the previous advisor]

Nothing has changed materially, any rises in benefits, have been matched by increases in household costs.

I'm aware from reading this forum, that they have no [legal], right to demand one, [it would be pointless in this case], and this has upset the status quo a bit, and unsettled her.

Should I write and explain exactly that, or is there a template letter to send, please?

no template i know of.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
